Upholstered furniture...
Rounded shapes of the sofa, delicate velvet fabric of the upholstery, amazing comfort. Velours, micro-velours, gobelin and leather of high quality are for the clients choice. We produce office soft corners, sofas, armchairs and
bed-chairs. |
What we could do without arm-chairs and sofas especially now when the life style is getting harder and harder and more severe. Embraced by them we can relax and have a rest after days bustle, listen to the music or dream in silence. Favourite sofa, as a rule, is something more than just an interior article: its getting dear and close symbolising the warmth and comfort of the hearth.
But in order to remain in such condition for a long time it should correspond at least to three criteria: to be soft, not to fade and to be easily
cleaned. |
The notion upholstered furniture contains a lot. This is both a divan (it will be interesting to know for ethimology-lovers, that in the time of sultanate in Turkey not only upholstered furniture was called divan but also a parliament and a bit later a poetic collection), and an arm-chairs, and corners, and sofa with ottoman and a canapé and a couch and others. For ignorant in Persian it will be cognitive that a sofa is a low wide divan with one elbow-rest (specialists assert that exactly it is at the edge of the fashion), ottoman is a low wide divan without any elbow-rests. A canapé came from France. It is a small divan with uplifted head. And a couch (from French) means upholstered furniture without back. Initially neither divan nor an arm-chair nor a sofa were meant for sleep either. For this purpose beds
exist. |

More attention in the modern upholstered furniture except its appearance is paid to its comfort. While constructing elements of the upholstered furniture four following aspects are taken into account:
- the softness of the surface
- elastic possibility
- carrying possibility
- longevity
|
|
To provide these qualities the special layers are used in production of upholstered furniture:
- revetment layers;
- cover layers;
- laying materials: porolon or block foam FPU (foam polyurethane), formed FPU;
- fillers: furniture filling materials are invented in great variety (horse-hair, fluff and so
on).

An anecdote to the topic:
An antiquity-lover purchased at the Parisian antiquary a bed where, by the sellers assertion madam Pompadour had slept. In a few days the buyer came to the shop again:
-You assirted that in the bed I bought had slept Madam Pompadour. However in the head of the bed I discovered the document that read that this bed belonged to the count Lotrek and then became the property of the Duke of Orleans and at last came to Moraye.
The antiquary shrugged his shoulders in astonishment:
- Why do you think that Madam Pompadour hadnt slept in this bed?
